Product Details

Elderberry syrup is great to have on hand for colds, flu, or viruses. The earlier you start taking elderberry, the better it works to potentially shorten the duration of illness! This one isn't just elderberry-- it's also packed with other nutrient rich, immune boosting plants and mushrooms that provide you with what your body needs to feel better faster.

Ingredients:

elderberries*, rose hips*, hawthorn berries*, ginger*, cinnamon*, chaga mushroom*, orange peel*, licorice root*,

*Certified USDA Organic

How to make the syrup:

Dump the whole bag of herbs into a small saucepan and add 1 and 1/4 cups filtered water. Bring to a gentle boil, turn down all of the way and simmer until reduced by half.

Strain herbs, and add twice the amount of honey (ideally raw) as liquid. Stir together, place in a jar with a lid, label it, and store in the refrigerator for up to 6 months! The 2:1 honey:herb ratio is to ensure that it is preserved, but sometimes I add a little bit less honey, more like 1.5:1 if you prefer it less sweet!

**can be frozen into ice cube trays if it's about to expire**

Dosing

Adults: take 1T daily for prevention or 1T every 3 hours at first sign of illness until you feel better

Children over 2: 1 tsp every 3-4 hours at first sign of illness until feeling better

*raw honey cannot be consumed by children under 1 year of age*
