I'm April, the founder of Bear & Gentle, a small, family-owned natural laundry soap business based in Almonte, Ontario.

My journey began about six years ago when my family faced some significant health challenges. Those experiences inspired us to take a closer look at the products we were bringing into our home and led us toward a simpler, more intentional, non-toxic way of living.

What started as making my own laundry soap for my family slowly grew into something much more meaningful. I wanted to create a product that other families could feel good about using in their homes, without unnecessary chemicals, artificial fragrances, or dyes.

Our laundry soap works in cold, warm, or hot water and is compatible with all washing machines, including front-loading, top-loading, and HE machines.

Directions for Use: Add 1–1.5 tablespoons of laundry soap directly into the drum of your washing machine with your clothing. For the best clean, add half your laundry load, sprinkle the soap over your clothing, and then add the remaining clothes on top. This helps distribute the powder evenly throughout the load.

Ingredients:  Epsom salts, Himalayan pink salt, baking soda, and washing soda.

Our scented varieties are made with essential oils for a beautiful, natural fragrance. No fragrances/fragrance oils used-- if you choose a scented variety they are made with 100% essential oils (lavender, lemon, orange/clove, eucalyptus)
